The 4th arrondissement’s only one-star

Sully Hôtel is at 48 rue Saint-Antoine, opposite the Hôtel de Sully, on the stretch between Saint-Paul and Bastille. In the Atout France register of 2 October 2026 — Atout France is the state agency that awards hotel stars — it is the only one-star hotel in the whole 4th arrondissement. Its classification, granted on 25 January 2022 for 22 rooms, is valid until 25 January 2027. No group or chain is mentioned.

A word on our checks: the official website is a JavaScript application, updated in 2026, with a booking button, but we could not test the reservation engine itself. The classification is current and OpenStreetMap contributors surveyed the address on 18 May 2026.

Rooms from single to quadruple

The website lists five room types — single, twin, double, triple and quadruple — with a shower, television, wifi and a direct phone line. Rooms face either rue Saint-Antoine, a busy east–west axis, or the courtyard; light sleepers should ask for the latter. The hotel says it is accessible to visually impaired, hard-of-hearing and mute guests; it announces no room for wheelchair users. Air conditioning, a lift, pets and parking are not mentioned.

Steps from the place des Vosges

The courtyard and garden of the Hôtel de Sully, a minute away, are free to cross every day; a passage in the orangery leads to the place des Vosges, three minutes from the hotel. The closest alternatives are three-star hotels: Hôtel Turenne Le Marais is two minutes away and the Hôtel de la Herse d’Or three. The only other one-star in this guide, Hôtel So’Marais, is in the 3rd arrondissement, about nineteen minutes on foot.
