Le Marais nightlife, four checked bars
Four cocktail bars in the 3rd arrondissement picked from Le Fooding and Time Out, with address, style and the strength of the 2026 evidence. Checked October 2026.
A short list, on purpose
Le Marais has more bars than we can vouch for. We kept the ones that appear in an editorial source, Le Fooding or Time Out, and have an official website. The bars whose only trace dates from 2022 to 2024, or sits on a social-media page, are left out. Bar Nouveau, Mesures and Sotto, for instance, have no official page. Le Perchoir Marais, Andy Wahloo and Le Bisou appear only on Time Out entries of 2019 to 2024, so we do not list them.
Four bars in the 3rd arrondissement
- Le Mary Celeste, 1 rue Commines. Cocktail bar with oysters. Le Fooding: €10 to €15. Time Out also lists it. Its official site was modified on 29 September 2026, the freshest evidence of the four.
- La Mezcaleria, 13 boulevard du Temple. A bar for mezcal and cocktails, described as hidden, inside the hotel 1K Paris. Le Fooding: €10 to €15. The hotel’s website carries a 2026 copyright line. Le Fooding also lists La Malicia, another bar of the same hotel, in 2025.
- The Cambridge Public House, 8 rue de Poitou. A pub serving cocktails. Le Fooding: €10 to €15. The evidence for 2026 is weak: the official site is undated and the Le Fooding entry was updated on 3 October 2025.
- Little Red Door, 60 rue Charlot. A conceptual cocktail bar. Time Out: « €€€ ». The official site is online but shows no 2026 date, so the confidence is only « probable ».

How far apart the four bars are
We geocoded the four addresses with the national address base (api-adresse.data.gouv.fr) and measured them. Straight-line distances are in metres; walking times use our rule of 1.3 times the straight line at 80 metres a minute.
| From / to | Straight line | On foot |
|---|---|---|
| Le Mary Celeste to The Cambridge | 59 m | 1 min |
| La Mezcaleria to Little Red Door | 179 m | 3 min |
| Le Mary Celeste to Little Red Door | 242 m | 4 min |
| The Cambridge to Little Red Door | 248 m | 4 min |
| Le Mary Celeste to La Mezcaleria | 267 m | 4 min |
| The Cambridge to La Mezcaleria | 309 m | 5 min |
The two bars on the south side of the group, Le Mary Celeste (rue Commines) and The Cambridge (rue de Poitou), are a minute apart. La Mezcaleria and Little Red Door are three minutes apart, in the northern part. The longest hop, from The Cambridge to La Mezcaleria, takes five minutes, so the four can be visited in one evening without a taxi.
What the hotel bar says about itself
The Mezcaleria sits inside the hotel 1K Paris, at 13 boulevard du Temple. The hotel’s site calls it “the mezcal embassy in Paris”: a hidden bar devoted to spirits from the streets of Oaxaca, with Latin music and old-school R&B. It describes La Malicia as “a hidden bar inside a hidden bar”. The hotel gives a telephone number and an e-mail address for bookings; we did not check opening days, which the page does not publish.
The hotel next to each bar
Distances are straight-line, from the coordinates in our data.
| Bar | Nearest hotels |
|---|---|
| Le Mary Celeste | Hôtel Suzie Blue, four stars, 15 m; Maison Saintonge, four stars, 161 m; Hôtel du Petit Moulin, four stars, 203 m |
| La Mezcaleria | 1K Paris, four stars, 18 m; Hôtel Américain, two stars, 112 m; Maison Proust, five stars, 199 m |
| The Cambridge | Hôtel Suzie Blue, 64 m; Maison Saintonge, 113 m; Hôtel du Petit Moulin, 149 m |
| Little Red Door | Maison Proust, 56 m; Hôtel du Vieux Saule, three stars, 92 m; Hôtel Américain, 160 m |
Seven hotels of our base lie within 300 m of Le Mary Celeste, nine within 300 m of Little Red Door, six around The Cambridge and five around La Mezcaleria. Star ratings are those of the Atout France register, as on each hotel page. A short walk back after closing matters more than a view, and these distances make it a matter of minutes.
Metro for the four bars
The bars have no stations of their own in our data, but the hotels beside them do. Read the figures below as the walk from the bar’s own doorstep, give or take a few metres.
- Hôtel Suzie Blue, 15 m from Le Mary Celeste, lists Saint-Sébastien–Froissart (line 8) at 200 m, 2 min on foot; Filles du Calvaire (line 8) at 300 m, 4 min on foot.
- Hôtel Suzie Blue, 64 m from The Cambridge, lists Saint-Sébastien–Froissart (line 8) at 200 m, 2 min on foot; Filles du Calvaire (line 8) at 300 m, 4 min on foot.
- 1K Paris, 18 m from La Mezcaleria, lists Filles du Calvaire (line 8) at 150 m, 2 min on foot; Oberkampf (lines 5 and 9) at 250 m, 3 min on foot.
- Maison Proust, 56 m from Little Red Door, lists Filles du Calvaire (line 8) at 350 m, 4 min on foot; Temple (line 3) at 400 m, 5 min on foot.
None of these stations is République, so the works on line 8 at that station do not affect them.
Using the list
Two bars carry a dated 2026 trace, Le Mary Celeste and La Mezcaleria. The other two stand on weaker evidence, which is why we flag them. Check each address’s own site on the day.
Getting there in 2026
On line 8, trains do not stop at République from 22 July 2026 until April 2027 because of works. Lines 3, 5, 9 and 11 do. For the stations and lines, see the map of Le Marais; is Le Marais safe at night covers the practical side of a late return.
