Hotels Marais Paris

Rue de Poitou

The hotel stands at 29-31 rue de Poitou, at the corner of rue de Saintonge, a few dozen metres from rue Vieille-du-Temple. We file it in the Upper Marais, although the administrative quarter is Archives. Saint-Sébastien - Froissart and Filles du Calvaire, both on line 8, are six minutes away on foot, and Temple (line 3) nine.

Atout France, the national classification agency, rated it four stars on 23 May 2022, for 17 rooms. It belongs to Chevalier Paris, the group that also runs Le Pavillon de la Reine.

The bakery and the interiors

The building is a former bakery, and its frontage and interior decoration are inscribed as a historic monument, an inscription of 23 May 1984, not a full classification. The hotel calls it the oldest bakery in Paris; that is its own statement. Inside, the couturier Christian Lacroix designed the decoration, with each of the 17 rooms treated differently. The MICHELIN Guide selects the hotel.

Amenities, and what is elsewhere

On site there is a bar and breakfast; there is no restaurant. Rooms are air-conditioned, accessible rooms are listed, and pets are accepted on request, according to the hotel. The spa, the gym and the car park are not in the building: guests use the Spa de la Reine and the car park of Le Pavillon de la Reine, ten minutes on foot.
