Place du Marché-Sainte-Catherine side
The Hôtel de JoBo is at 10 rue d’Ormesson, at the corner of rue de Sévigné, beside the place du Marché-Sainte-Catherine in the 4th arrondissement. Atout France rated it four stars on 25 January 2022, for 24 rooms. Its legal page shows an independent operator, with no chain.
The hotel sits halfway between Saint-Paul and the place des Vosges. Saint-Paul station is 100 metres away on foot, and the Église Saint-Paul-Saint-Louis about 100 metres, a minute on foot.
A decor with a story
The decoration comes first. Bambi Sloan designed it as a tribute to Joséphine Bonaparte and the Directoire style: roses, leopard motifs and Le Manach fabrics reissued by Pierre Frey. The architects Didier and Fabrice Knoll restructured the building. The rooms carry themed names (Incroyable, Merveilleuse, Gourgandine, Sans-culotte), and the hotel markets some of them as love nests, with a junior suite sold as a honeymoon room.
According to the hotel, the building stands on the remains of a 17th-century convent and faces the Hôtel de Chavigny; we pass that on as the hotel’s claim, not as a checked fact.
Services
Air conditioning is in every room, and communicating rooms let a family or a group of friends book adjoining spaces. The salon-bar serves tea and signature cocktails; the hotel advertised hours of 5 pm to 11 pm, Tuesday to Saturday, in October 2026. No restaurant, spa or pool is listed. Parking means the public Pont-Marie car park, which is not linked to the hotel.
Around the corner
The hotel states it is accessible to guests with reduced mobility, but describes no adapted room, so ask before booking. The Hôtel de Sully is about 200 metres away on foot, the Musée Carnavalet about 250, and the Village Saint-Paul about 250. The place des Vosges lies 350 metres off, four minutes on foot.
