On rue de Jarente

Hôtel Jeanne d’Arc Le Marais is at 3 rue de Jarente, a street adjoining the place du Marché-Sainte-Catherine. The street was cut in 1784 through the site of a former priory, la Couture-Sainte-Catherine. The registered name of the hotel is Hôtel Jeanne d’Arc Marais.

Atout France, the national agency in charge of hotel stars, reclassified it three stars on 25 June 2026, for 34 rooms.

Rooms built for families

The family rooms are the house’s main feature: each combines two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two singles, and one of them is accessible to wheelchair users. Every room has a kettle. Downstairs, an honesty bar serves drinks, alcohol included, on a self-service basis at any hour.

What the website leaves out matters too. It mentions neither air conditioning nor pets nor parking, and no restaurant is mentioned; ask before booking if any of these counts.

Between two squares

Three minutes separate the hotel from Saint-Paul station on line 1, from the Musée Carnavalet and from the place des Vosges, which our place des Vosges guide covers. The Hôtel de Sully is two minutes away, the Maison de Victor Hugo four, and the Musée Picasso eight.

Hôtel Turenne Le Marais, one minute away, is the closest comparison in the same category: it is larger (41 rooms), lists air conditioning and two adapted rooms, but its family rooms are triples. Pratic Hôtel, a two-star, is also a minute away, on rue d’Ormesson, and the five-star Cour des Vosges is two minutes away on the place des Vosges.

Frequently asked questions

Hôtel Jeanne d’Arc review — what do the facts say?

The strongest points are practical — two-bedroom family rooms, one of them wheelchair-accessible, a self-service bar open all night and line 1 three minutes away. The gaps are air conditioning, which the website never mentions, and the absence of any restaurant on the website. We do not reproduce guest reviews or give marks.

Is the hotel on the place des Vosges?

No. It is on rue de Jarente, next to the place du Marché-Sainte-Catherine; the place des Vosges is about three minutes’ walk away.

Does it have air conditioning?

Its website does not say so. One minute away, Hôtel Turenne Le Marais states that all 41 of its rooms are air-conditioned.

Which metro stations are nearest?

Saint-Paul (line 1) is three minutes on foot; Chemin Vert (line 8) and Sully-Morland (line 7) are seven minutes each.

How much tourist tax is due?

Three-star hotels in Paris add €5.53 per adult per night in 2026; there is no charge for minors.
