A two-star on a pedestrian square
Pratic Hôtel stands at 9 rue d’Ormesson, on the place du Marché-Sainte-Catherine, a small square closed to cars. It is an independent hotel, with no chain or group behind it. Atout France, the national agency that grants hotel stars, classified it two stars on 25 January 2024.
The square is the hotel’s main asset, and the hotel says so: it promises rooms overlooking it. Saint-Paul station, two minutes on foot, is on line 1.
What the rooms offer
The 23 rooms are air-conditioned, according to the hotel, and some are family rooms. Breakfast is served; there is no restaurant and no bar listed. The building is not adapted for wheelchairs, and the hotel says nothing on its website about pets.
Pratic Hôtel and Hôtel Emile, about 90 metres apart as the crow flies, are the only two-star hotels within a kilometre in a straight line. They differ on rooms: Emile, on rue Malher, has rooms for two people at most, while Pratic lists family rooms.
Around the square
The former Jesuit church of Saint-Paul-Saint-Louis, built between 1627 and 1641, is two minutes away on foot on rue Saint-Antoine; it holds a Delacroix painting of Christ in the Garden of Olives. The Hôtel de Sully is three minutes away, and its garden leads to the place des Vosges, four minutes from the hotel — see our place des Vosges guide. The Musée Carnavalet, four minutes away, is free for its permanent collections and closed on Mondays. Rue des Rosiers is five minutes away.
Several hotels of higher categories stand within two minutes’ walk. Hôtel Jeanne d’Arc Le Marais and Hôtel Turenne Le Marais, both three-stars, are two minutes away on foot; the four-star Hôtel de JoBo, also on rue d’Ormesson, is one.

Frequently asked questions
Pratic Hôtel review — strengths and weak points?
The verified strengths are the square itself, line 1 two minutes away, air conditioning and family rooms. The weak points are just as clear — no wheelchair access, no parking, no bar or restaurant. We do not give scores or quote guest reviews; the price range shown is an estimate from the official category, not a rate.
Is Pratic Hôtel accessible for wheelchair users?
No. The hotel states that its spaces are not accessible to wheelchairs. Within a two-minute walk, Hôtel Turenne Le Marais lists two adapted rooms and Hôtel Jeanne d’Arc Le Marais one.
Are pets allowed?
The website does not say. Ask the hotel before booking.
Where can I park?
There is no private parking; a public car park lies about 150 metres away. The centre of Paris is a limited-traffic zone, so you may drive to the hotel but not across the district.
How much is the tourist tax at a two-star hotel?
€3.25 per adult per night in Paris in 2026, collected by the hotel. Under-eighteens are exempt.
