The building was once a printing works. Its decor draws on the jewels of Corinne Evens, designed with the decorator Daniel Jibert, on a theme of travel that takes in South Africa, the Sahara and the Indian Ocean. Suites measure 40 to 55 square metres and look over the Arsenal marina; one family suite reaches 95 to 100 square metres and sleeps four adults and two children, with the FAQ saying families of three to six are welcome.
The amenities include air conditioning, a fitness room, a bar, and a concept store that serves breakfast, snacks and a drink, with room service and light dining. There is no restaurant. Pets are accepted on request for a supplement. The hotel says it can receive guests with reduced mobility, but it names no adapted suite.
Getting around
The nearest station is Quai de la Rapée, on line 5, at 250 metres, about three minutes. Bastille (lines 1, 5 and 8) is 600 metres, eight minutes, and Sully-Morland (line 7) 650 metres, also eight. There is no private car park; the hotel points to a public one on boulevard de la Bastille, about 300 metres away.
The Marais is a walk away
The Village Saint-Paul is about 665 metres off in a straight line, and the Hôtel de Sully about 700; each is an eleven-minute walk. The Maison de Victor Hugo and the place des Vosges lie 730 and 785 metres away in a straight line, twelve and thirteen minutes on foot.
