Hotels Marais Paris

Rue Simon-le-Franc

The hotel is at 11 rue Simon-le-Franc, in the Saint-Merri sector, a short walk from the Centre Pompidou. It is independent, and Atout France classed it three stars on 27 October 2022.

The 28 rooms are split between two buildings, each with a lift. Every room is air-conditioned.

Rooms and services

Breakfast is served in a vaulted room of bare stone, where an old well can still be seen. Beyond that, the hotel sells drinks but no meals. The room described in most detail is the junior suite, 23 square metres with a private terrace of 19 square metres, taking up to three people. A child’s extra bed is available up to 14 years old, and a baby cot is free. There are no connecting rooms. Animals are not admitted, and the hotel says it is not accessible to guests with reduced mobility. The hotel has no car park, citing the public Beaubourg and Hôtel de Ville ones.

The museum next door, closed

The Centre Pompidou is about 200 metres away on foot. The building closed to the public on 22 September 2025, building work began in 2026 and reopening is announced for 2030, without a precise date. The Ircam and some events on the Piazza continue, and the museum runs a programme outside its walls. Our Centre Pompidou page has the current picture, which matters for anyone choosing this address for the museum. The Musée d’art et d’histoire du Judaïsme is about 250 metres away.

The neighbours

The Hôtel du Vieux Marais, three stars and 29 rooms, is some 250 metres off. The four-star Hôtel Duo has 58 rooms about 300 metres away, and the three-star Hôtel Le Presbytère, 11 rooms, is about 300 metres off. The Hôtel de la Bretonnerie lies some 350 metres away. The Beaubourg itself sits two minutes from Rambuteau.

Is the Centre Pompidou open?

No. The building closed to the public on 22 September 2025 for renovation, with reopening announced for 2030. The Piazza and the Ircam remain.

Only partly. A child’s extra bed is possible up to age 14 and a cot is free, but there are no connecting rooms, and the junior suite is the only room for three.

We give no scores. Checkable: three stars from Atout France since 27 October 2022, 28 rooms in two buildings, full air conditioning, a terrace suite, and no pets.
