Hôtel Duo, 11 rue du Temple — 58 rooms, four stars since 2025, open-air patio, gym and sauna, suites for four, metro lines 1 and 11. Checked October 2026.
Opposite the Hôtel de Ville
Hôtel Duo stands at 11 rue du Temple, facing the north side of the Hôtel de Ville and the BHV department store. The building was fully rehabilitated in 2006. Atout France, the national agency that classifies hotels, classified it four stars on 6 August 2025, for 58 rooms; among the four-stars in this guide, only the Hôtel National des Arts et Métiers has more.
It is part of the Collection Vesper Hotels, according to the hotel’s own site. The hotel holds the Clef Verte label for environmental management.
Patio, sauna and suites
Much of the building turns around an open-air patio with a green wall. Guests have the use of a gym and a sauna from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. — the hotel does not call it a spa, and there are no treatment rooms. A bar and lounge stays open all day; there is no restaurant, but room service is provided by a partner restaurant.
The 58 rooms are air-conditioned. Families can book the suite (40 m²) or the junior suite (30 m²), each for up to four people, and two rooms are fully accessible, with walk-in showers. There is no parking, and pets are not accepted except assistance animals.
Between the Marais and Châtelet
The BHV Marais is two minutes away; the Musée d’art et d’histoire du Judaïsme and the Archives nationales six; the Mémorial de la Shoah seven. The Centre Pompidou, four minutes away, has been closed since 22 September 2025 for works and is due to reopen in 2030. Châtelet station, with lines 1, 4, 7, 11 and 14, is six minutes away; line 14 runs to Orly airport.
Two of the hotels within three minutes are Hôtel Andrea, a three-star of 32 rooms on rue Saint-Bon, and Le Grand Mazarin, a five-star with a pool. Among four-stars, Hôtel Bourg Tibourg — 24 rooms decorated by Jacques Garcia, with an inner garden but no gym listed — is four minutes away.
