A decor signed by Jacques Garcia

Hôtel Bourg Tibourg is at no. 19 rue du Bourg-Tibourg, in the 4th arrondissement. Its registered name is Hôtel du Bourg-Tibourg. Atout France, the agency that awards French hotel stars, classified it four stars on 5 August 2022, for 24 rooms; the hotel’s own website does not give a room count.

The decorator Jacques Garcia designed the interiors, mixing Orientalism, neo-Gothic, the Grand Siècle and the Empire, and chose the furniture and objects himself: a chandelier by Viollet-le-Duc, an Aubusson wall hanging, 19th-century engravings. The street has older history too — nos. 15 to 21 stand on the site of the hôtel de Nicolaï, a mansion dating from 1652 and later called the hôtel d’Argouges, which has since disappeared.

Garden, rooms and services

The hotel presents its inner garden as one of its two spaces. Services listed on the website are breakfast, room service from 7.30 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. and a concierge; no bar or restaurant is mentioned. The house positions itself as a romantic hotel, with pages devoted to wedding nights and honeymoons.

The website says nothing about air conditioning, rooms adapted for wheelchair users or pets. If any of these matters, it is worth asking the hotel directly before booking.
