Facing the church on rue Saint-Antoine

The Hôtel Le Temple de Jeanne is at 125 rue Saint-Antoine, in the 4th arrondissement, opposite the Église Saint-Paul-Saint-Louis. Atout France classed it three stars on 29 February 2024, for 17 rooms. It is independent, with no chain named on its legal notice.

The name causes confusion. It honours Jeanne de Bourbon, wife of King Charles V, not Joan of Arc, and the whole concept is built around the love story of the royal couple. Hôtel Jeanne d’Arc Le Marais is a separate hotel, about 300 metres away on foot.

The building and the decor

The hotel occupies a double building at number 125, which it says has 14th-century foundations; we found no heritage record for the address, so this stays the hotel’s claim. The two parts are linked by a glass-roofed light well, and a corridor of old terracotta tiles runs through the house.

The architect Pascal Reynaud designed the renovation, with a decor described as medieval and urban: velvet, burlap, raw wood and wrought iron. Rooms come with a balcony, with a private terrace in the Double Prestige Terrasse category, or with a round bed.

Services and limits

All 17 rooms are air-conditioned. The Double Prestige can sleep two or three guests through a sofa bed, but no family room is listed. Breakfast is an organic buffet, and there is no restaurant. Le Temple de Jeanne says plainly that guests with reduced mobility cannot be received.

Metro and church

The Saint-Paul station on line 1 is 100 metres on foot from the door. Pont Marie (line 7) is 350 metres, four minutes, and Sully-Morland (line 7) 500 metres, six minutes. The Église Saint-Paul-Saint-Louis is about 150 metres on foot and the Village Saint-Paul about 250. Rue des Rosiers is about 300 metres away, the Hôtel de Sully about 350, and the Shoah Memorial about 350.

Next to it

Hôtel Emile, a two-star with 29 rooms, is about 100 metres away on foot. Grand Hôtel Malher, three stars and 28 rooms, is about 150. The four-star Hôtel de JoBo has 24 rooms and is about 200 metres off. Beyond them come Pratic Hôtel and Hôtel Caron Le Marais, each some 200 metres away, and the four-star Hôtel Charles V, 22 rooms, at about 300.

Frequently asked questions

Is Le Temple de Jeanne named after Joan of Arc?

No. The hotel says its name honours Jeanne de Bourbon, queen and wife of Charles V. Hôtel Jeanne d'Arc Le Marais, a different three-star, has its own page.

Are the foundations really from the 14th century?

That is the hotel's claim for the double building at 125 rue Saint-Antoine. We found no heritage record for this number, so we report it as the hotel's statement.

Is the hotel accessible to guests with reduced mobility?

No. Le Temple de Jeanne declares that it cannot receive guests with reduced mobility.

What would an Hôtel Le Temple de Jeanne review need to cover?

There are no scores and no guest quotes here. The verifiable points are the three-star class of 29 February 2024, 17 air-conditioned rooms, a medieval-style decor and a metro station at 100 metres.
