Galerie d'art in Le Marais, eight galleries and their 2026 programme
Eight contemporary art galleries in the Marais with address, opening days and exhibitions announced for autumn 2026, free to enter. Programme read on 4 October 2026.
Two kinds of evidence
Eight contemporary galleries in the 3rd and 4th arrondissements meet two tests: an official website showing a 2026 programme, and an entry in Time Out’s selection of the 50 best galleries in Paris. That selection dates from 2023 and was changed in January 2024, so the 2026 proof is the programme on each gallery’s own site. We did not visit. Exhibitions below are given as read on 4 October 2026.
The eight galleries
- Perrotin, 76 rue de Turenne and 10 impasse Saint-Claude. LEE Bae and Alma Allen from 17 October to 19 December 2026. Opening hours not read.
- Thaddaeus Ropac, 7 rue Debelleyme. Programme for September to December 2026 published. Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m..
- Templon, 30 rue Beaubourg and 28 rue du Grenier-Saint-Lazare. Exhibitions from 5 September to 31 October 2026. Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Almine Rech, 64 rue de Turenne. Shows from 16 September to 21 October, and from 8 October 2026 to 29 January 2027. Tuesday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Marian Goodman, 79 rue du Temple. Exhibitions from 10 September to 24 October, then 19 October to 19 December 2026. Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Chantal Crousel, 10 rue Charlot. New show from 19 October 2026. Tuesday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Xippas, 108 rue Vieille-du-Temple. 2026 programme published on its site. Tuesday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Not kept: Galleria Continua is outside the Time Out list, and the Karsten Greve address in the Marais could not be read.
A walk, not a route
The addresses are spread over the 3rd arrondissement and the 4th, so a gallery visit can be combined with a museum. Our pages on the Musée Picasso and the Carnavalet museum give their hours, and the Marais walking tour proposes a route.

Where the eight galleries stand
The addresses were located with the national address base (BAN). Four of them cluster in the east of the Haut-Marais, within about 190 m of the Picasso Museum: Perrotin (187 m), Almine Rech (156 m), Xippas (152 m) and Thaddaeus Ropac (147 m). Marian Goodman is 62 m from the Museum of Jewish Art and History, Templon 164 m from it, and Nathalie Obadia 174 m from the Centre Pompidou building, which is closed. Chantal Crousel sits between the two groups, 175 m from the Museum of Hunting and Nature.
A single walk through the eight
The shortest order we found, among all the possible orders of the eight addresses, starts at the Cloître Saint-Merri and ends at the rue de Turenne:
| Leg | Straight line | On foot |
|---|---|---|
| Nathalie Obadia to Templon | 399 m | 6 min |
| Templon to Marian Goodman | 170 m | 3 min |
| Marian Goodman to Chantal Crousel | 353 m | 6 min |
| Chantal Crousel to Xippas | 143 m | 2 min |
| Xippas to Thaddaeus Ropac | 71 m | 1 min |
| Thaddaeus Ropac to Perrotin | 74 m | 1 min |
| Perrotin to Almine Rech | 113 m | 2 min |
The straight-line total is 1,325 m, so about 1.7 km on foot by our rule of 1.3 times the straight line at 80 metres a minute, 21 minutes without stopping. The second half of the walk, from Xippas to Almine Rech, covers four addresses in under 400 m, and ends within 156 m of the Picasso Museum.
Days and hours
The galleries’ own hours decide the day. Chantal Crousel and Xippas are open Tuesday to Saturday; Thaddaeus Ropac, Templon, Almine Rech and Marian Goodman too. Nathalie Obadia alone lists Monday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. None lists Sunday on the pages we read, so Sunday is not a gallery day. Saturday ends at 6 p.m. at Marian Goodman and at 7 p.m. at the others whose hours we read; Perrotin’s hours were not readable. A Tuesday to Friday afternoon leaves room for a museum as well, because the Picasso and Carnavalet museums close on Monday and the Archives on Tuesday.
Where to look next
The Marais walking tour passes the Picasso Museum, a few steps from the rue de Turenne cluster. For the rest of the district’s shops, see shopping in Le Marais, and for a place to eat between gallery visits, brunch or the restaurant selection.
Metro for the galleries
Three corners of the walk need different stations; the nearest hotels to them give the walk.
- Hôtel Le Presbytère, 104 m from Nathalie Obadia, lists Hôtel de Ville (lines 1 and 11) at 250 m, 3 min on foot; Châtelet (lines 1 and 4 and 7 and 11 and 14) at 300 m, 4 min on foot.
- Experimental Marais, 240 m from Marian Goodman, lists Arts et Métiers (lines 3 and 11) at 350 m, 4 min on foot; Rambuteau (line 11) at 500 m, 6 min on foot.
- Villa Beaumarchais, 165 m from Almine Rech, lists Saint-Sébastien–Froissart (line 8) at 300 m, 4 min on foot; Chemin Vert (line 8) at 300 m, 4 min on foot.
Entry, booking and the longest week
Entry to all eight galleries is free, as they are commercial galleries, and none of the pages we read asks for a reservation. Nathalie Obadia has the longest week, six days from Monday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The two galleries on the rue de Turenne, Perrotin and Almine Rech, stand 113 m apart, so a short visit can be limited to them.
Hotels nearby
Ten of the 70 hotels in our base are classed in the Haut-Marais: see hotels in the Haut-Marais. For the whole arrondissement, see hotels in the 3rd.

Frequently asked questions
Are the Marais galleries free?
Yes. They are commercial galleries and entry is free, according to their websites.
Which galleries are open on a Sunday?
The opening days we read are Tuesday to Saturday, or Monday to Saturday at Nathalie Obadia. None of the eight announces a regular Sunday opening, so plan a gallery round for a weekday or a Saturday.
Which galleries change their show in the second half of October?
At 4 October 2026, Perrotin announces LEE Bae and Alma Allen from 17 October, and Marian Goodman and Chantal Crousel announce new shows from 19 October. Dates change every six to eight weeks, so check the gallery's page.
How were these eight chosen?
Each has an official website with a 2026 programme and appears in Time Out's selection of the 50 best galleries in Paris, published in 2023 and modified in January 2024.
Does this page verify each address in person?
No. It reports programmes read on the official websites on 4 October 2026. It is a different level of proof from our restaurant lists, and exhibitions end on dates we cannot guarantee.
Which Marais galleries are closest to the Picasso Museum?
Thaddaeus Ropac (147 m), Xippas (152 m), Almine Rech (156 m) and Perrotin (187 m), in a straight line from the addresses we geocoded.

Is any gallery open on Monday?
Nathalie Obadia lists Monday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on its site. The others we read are open Tuesday to Friday or Saturday, and none lists Sunday.
Which metro station is nearest to the Marais galleries?
It depends on the gallery: Hôtel de Ville (lines 1 and 11) for Nathalie Obadia, Arts et Métiers (lines 3 and 11) for Marian Goodman, and Saint-Sébastien–Froissart or Chemin Vert (line 8) for Almine Rech, according to the hotel pages nearest to each.
